Workmanship Warranty Policy
MyFlooring workmanship warranty guideline for timber floor sanding and finishing services.

Workmanship Warranty Policy
MyFlooring
We take pride in our workmanship and stand behind the quality of the work we deliver. The following guideline explains how our workmanship warranty works and what it covers.
Our Workmanship Warranty
MyFlooring offers a 12-month workmanship warranty on timber floor sanding, finishing, and related services carried out by our team.
This warranty covers issues that arise as a direct result of the way the work was carried out and does not cover normal wear, natural timber behaviour, or factors outside our control.
What the Warranty Covers
Our workmanship warranty is intended to cover situations where the finished result has not performed as reasonably expected due to workmanship.
Examples may include:
Localised issues with finish application
Areas where the finish has not adhered correctly due to application
Defects that are clearly related to how the work was carried out
If a workmanship issue is confirmed, we will work with you to determine a reasonable solution, which may include repair or refinishing of the affected area.
What Is Not Covered
Timber is a natural material, and some changes and characteristics are expected over time. Our workmanship warranty does not cover:
Natural variations in timber colour, grain, or character
Movement, gapping, expansion, or contraction of timber
Wear from everyday use, foot traffic, furniture, pets, or footwear
Scratches, dents, impact marks, or surface wear
Environmental influences such as moisture, heat, humidity, or sunlight
Pre-existing stains, marks, or damage that could not be removed during sanding
Minor marks to skirting boards or nearby surfaces that may occur during onsite work
Differences in appearance caused by previous coatings or coverings
Dust presence or minor surface imperfections consistent with onsite sanding
Conditions of Warranty
To help ensure the best outcome for your floor, the workmanship warranty applies where:
The floor has been maintained in line with our care and maintenance guidelines
The surface has not been altered, repaired, or recoated by others
The space has been used under normal residential conditions
Full payment for the work has been received
Making a Warranty Enquiry
If you have a concern related to workmanship, we ask that you contact us in writing and include:
Your original quote or invoice
A brief description of the concern
Clear photos where possible
We may arrange a site visit if needed to better understand the issue before confirming whether it falls within workmanship coverage.
Our Approach to Warranty Matters
Every floor and situation is different. Where a workmanship concern is confirmed, MyFlooring will assess the most appropriate way to resolve the issue. Our aim is always to reach a fair and practical outcome.
Important Note
This workmanship warranty is provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law and does not limit or exclude those rights.
How This Guideline Is Used
This guideline forms part of MyFlooring’s standard terms and applies to work carried out by MyFlooring unless otherwise stated in writing.
