Bookings & Deposits Policy

Outlines how bookings are confirmed, when a deposit is required, how deposits are calculated, and what happens if a booking is cancelled or rescheduled. This policy helps ensure clarity and fairness for both parties before work begins.

Deposit Requirement

A deposit is required to secure a booking with MyFlooring.

The deposit amount is based on the total value of the accepted quote:


  • For quotes above AUD 5,000, a deposit of 10 percent of the total quoted amount is required.

  • For quotes AUD 5,000 or below, a flat deposit of AUD 500 is required.


A booking is confirmed only once the deposit has been received.


Why We Take a Deposit


Deposits allow us to allocate labour, equipment, and scheduling specifically for your project and reserve time for your booking.


Cancellations and Deposits


If a booking is cancelled or postponed by the client, the deposit may be retained to cover reasonable costs already incurred, including scheduling, planning, and reserved time.


Site Access and Changes


If access to the site is not available on the agreed start date, or if the scope of work changes after confirmation in a way that prevents the job from proceeding, the deposit may be retained.


When Deposits Are Refunded


Deposits will be refunded if:

  • MyFlooring cancels the booking, or

  • We are unable to carry out the agreed service due to circumstances within our control


Rescheduling


If you need to change your booking date:

  • Please notify us as early as possible

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability

  • A new date cannot be guaranteed


In some cases, a deposit may be retained if rescheduling results in lost booked work or costs already incurred.

  • Verbal discussions are provided as general information only

  • This policy is provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law
