Client Responsibilities and What to Expect

To ensure your timber flooring work runs smoothly and efficiently, we ask clients to review the information below and prepare the site before work begins.

Clear preparation helps avoid delays, additional costs, and disruptions.


Before We Start

Please ensure the following is completed before our agreed start date.


Access to the Property

  • Safe and clear access to the property during agreed working hours

  • Entry instructions provided if you will not be present

  • All required keys, codes, or access details supplied in advance

If access is not available on the start date, delays or additional costs may apply.


Power and Utilities

  • Access to a working power supply suitable for professional equipment

  • Power must remain available for the duration of the work

If adequate power is not available, work may be delayed.


Parking and Loading Access

  • Reasonable parking access close to the property for equipment and materials

  • Please advise in advance of any parking restrictions or permits required

Delays may occur if access is restricted or not arranged.


Furniture and Personal Belongings

  • All furniture, rugs, and personal items removed from work areas

  • Fragile or valuable items removed or protected

  • Appliances disconnected if required

If furniture or items are not cleared, additional time or charges may apply.


Pets and Occupants

  • Pets must be secured away from work areas at all times

  • Children and occupants should remain clear of work zones for safety

Timber flooring work involves machinery, dust, and chemicals.


Site Conditions

  • Floors must be free of loose items

  • Any existing damage, repairs, or concerns should be disclosed before work starts

  • Please advise us of any alarms, sensors, or special site requirements


During the Work

While work is underway, please be aware of the following.


Dust, Noise, and Odours

  • Timber sanding and finishing can produce dust and noise

  • Some products may produce odours during application and curing

  • Ventilation may be required as advised


We take reasonable steps to manage dust and safety.


Access During Work

  • Access to work areas may be restricted

  • Walking on floors may not be permitted during certain stages

  • Drying and curing times must be respected


Changes or Additional Work

If you request changes or additional work:

  • Please raise them as early as possible

  • Changes may affect pricing and timelines

  • Written approval is required before additional work proceeds


After Completion


Curing and Use of Floors

  • Follow all instructions provided regarding curing times

  • Avoid placing furniture or rugs until advised

  • Do not clean or wash floors until permitted


Maintenance and Care

  • Proper care and maintenance are essential

  • Maintenance guidance will be provided where applicable

  • Damage caused by misuse or lack of care is not covered under warranty
